While the system does not imitate biological processes, several conceptual mappings clarify the architecture’s logic, stability, and safety requirements.
In biological vision, photoreceptors and early retinal circuits convert electromagnetic input into structured signals, emphasizing edges, motion, and persistent physical change. PASDE performs an analogous function: it extracts drift, the minimal detectable unit of physical change, using stability, persistence, and continuity rules.
